The dolls will be prizes in a Silent Auction for charity. All members interested in helping with arrangements for the Doll Show are welcome to attend the meeting. There is a lot of work to be done to organize, advertise, and put on a successful show. The proceeds of our Doll Show is what keeps our club running. On our list of things to do: Applications to be sent out to vendors. Collecting donations for door prizes. Some members have asked why there is no Spring show. Until 2005, the Manitoba Doll Club hosted the Spring doll show, and Irene Henderson and Connie Royal hosted the Fall show. Irene and Connie have retired from the doll show business, and the Doll Club felt that two shows a year was more than our members were able to support. There is a considerable financial commitment to running a doll show, as well as a large volunteer labour commitment. The Fall show seemed to be the better date and this is the show the Manitoba Doll Club has chosen to continue. Webmaster Home
